This year has been different - it's FELT different. And that means that New Years will also be different for a lot of us. If you're like us, we are tired of the "new year, new me" bullshit. That being said, we are looking for other resolutions that bring more meaning than the typical "weightloss" venture.
We've compiled a list of things that we wanted to share incase you are looking for alternative resolutions as well.
In no particular order.
Read a book, or two, in its entirety. Or find a new podcast/audiobook
Practice daily gratitude/journal
Get involved in your community, give back without expecting anything in return.
Donate what you can, when you can.
Support more local.
Learn something new. Be in a student state of mind.
Unplug, detox and disconnect from social media more often.
Re-connect with nature.
Be a tourist in your own town/city.
Move to FEEL good by doing something you enjoy.
Hydrate and nourish your body, mind & soul.
Set healthy boundaries, stick to those boundaries.
Ask for help when you need it.
Reduce your single-use plastic use. Aim to swap out some home essentials, try 1 item a month to start.
Put 5-10% of each paycheck into savings.
Random acts of kindness.
Cook more home meals.
Wear sunscreen. EVERY. DAY.
Do something that scares you.
Make your bed every morning.
To some, these may be simple. To others, they may be a step outside of comfort zones. Whichever you choose, do them for you, stay consistent. You never know what good you are doing and kindness you are spreading even in what seems like the smallest of things.
